About
Born in 1990, mezzo-soprano Natalia Skricka is still studying singing at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of music in Katowice with Agata Kobierska. She also attended master classes with Ingrid Kremling, Anita Garanca, Karolina Brachman and Helen Donath. Natalia Skricka is the winner of numerous international singing competitions such as the Leos Janacek competition in the Czech Republic, the Ada Sari competition in Novi Sad and the A. Hiolski competition in Kudowa-Zdroj.
The young mezzo-soprano collected her first stage experiences in performances at the Musikhochschule, where she was to be experienced as a child in Ravel's L'enfant et les sortileges. She sang the same song at the Opera in Bydgoszcz . At the Silesian Opera in Katowice, she made her debut as Suor Dolcina in Puccini's Suor Angelica.
Since the 2015/16 season, Natalia Skricka has been a member of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Berlin and has been on stage as a 2nd lady in the Magic Flute, as a Dryade in Ariadne on Naxos and as Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly. In addition, she took over the title role in the children's opera of the booted cat. In addition to the resumption of the Dryade in Ariadne on Naxos, Natalia Skricka will be on stage at the Staatsoper Berlin in the new season as 2. scarce and 6.flower girls in Parsifal as well as Flora in La Traviata.
She sang in the requies of Mozart and Haydn as well as songs by Stanislaw Moniuszko, which she recorded on CD.
