4 Avenue de ChardonnetLa Rodia is located near the city center of Besançon, in a "cultural" district punctuated by the Cité des arts, the cultural wasteland of Prés de Vaux and the Bastion. La Rodia organizes more than 70 parties per year and welcomes 38,000 spectators per year.
Built on stilts (project by the architectural firm Denu and Paradon), it has a 600 m2 esplanade, 2 concert halls (1100 and 320 standing places), 1 hall-bar, 2 creation studios, 3 boxes, 1 catering and an administrative unit.
Missions:
- The distribution of an eclectic, demanding, emblematic and creative line, open to international, national and local artists and groups (some concerts are offered outside the walls).
- Support for research and creation (professional and amateur), support for artistic projects (provision of studios and scenic spaces, specific devices, programming, etc.) and the setting up of training actions.
- The development of cultural action with the most varied audiences and the promotion of current music beyond their usual areas (socio-educational establishment, schools, public and private places, public "prevented" ...)
- Information, advice, guidance, meeting and consultation for and with stakeholders in the sector (personalized meetings, talks and workshops, etc.)
