About
German baritone Jochen Schmeckenbecher made his Royal Opera debut in 2012 as Alberich (Siegfried) and has since returned to sing Herr von Faninal (Der Rosenkavalier).
Schmeckenbecher was born in Hockenheim and trained at the Cologne Hochschule für Musik with Kurt Moll. He began his career with Theater Hagen and Komische Oper Berlin and now sings for companies around the world.
