Immling Festival 2023
The festival on the Gutshof near Halfing is a must, especially for opera lovers. Since the first event by Ludwig Baumann, the riding hall has now been converted into an air-conditioned festival hall with the most comfortable seating. The ensemble consists of international singers with several own opera productions. The events, which now have cult status, range from studio concerts to youth operas.

Mysticism and madness, corruption and desire, jubilation and pleasure: This is Immling 2023 - Between.Worlds. With the operas Salome, Nabucco, María de Buenos Aires and the operetta The Land of Smiles, we embark on a journey around the world from the Chiemgau natural backdrop to emotional states of the utmost kind.
Love leads from Vienna to Beijing, greed for power from Jerusalem to madness, in Argentina it leads through gloomy milieus to dazzling states of mind, while in Salome desire leads to death. The diverse program jumps from geographical areas in times of the most diverse forms of society.

The culmination of this musical transmigration of souls will be Gustav Mahler's 2nd symphony - a mammoth work which, with its overwhelming sonority, revolves around the existential questions of being human.

The Academy Immling will be young, wild and wonderful: the artists of the musical Sister Act will take you to gospel and glamour, while the children's opera Cinderella will be like a fairy tale. Concert lovers will get their money's worth at the romantic evening of songs in the flower garden with soprano Felicitas Fuchs-Wittekindt, the studio concert with pianist Anna Gourari and the brilliant final event, the Finale Grande. If you like to combine culinary delights with musical delights, you can look forward to "Dinner & Music" in the starry tent. From there the journey leads to Italy for the Venetian Night with baroque songs and sonatas and the cult evening O Sole Mio. Immling 2023 Between Worlds? Enormous! Intensive! Dazzling!

About the Immling Festival
The Immling Festival in Halfing im Chiemgau is a festival for classical music. It has been held annually from June to August since 1997. Operas, concerts, musicals and children's operas are performed.

The Immling Festival came about in 1997. The performance of the Mozart opera The Magic Flute , produced by opera singer Ludwig Baumann , today director of the Immling Festival, with various local choirs was to take place on a lake stage in Halfing. Because of heavy rain showers and thunderstorms, the performance was spontaneously relocated to the Reithalle in Immling, where the opera was performed five times.

In 1998 the "Chiemgau Music Festival at Gut Immling" was held for the first time, which took place from July 24th to August 2nd. The program included the operas Der Freischütz directed by Ludwig Baumann, Der Barbier von Sevilla directed by Toni Müller and other events such as a folk music day, an operetta concert, a family day and a hit evening with Trini Lopez.
