About

Faithful collaborator of Clément Hervieu-Léger, Bertrand Couderc created the lights of the Misanthrope and the Petit-Maître corrected at the Comédie-Française, from La Didone de Cavalli and Mitridate, re di ponto de Mozart at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Monsieur de Pourceaugnac at Bouffes du Nord.

In 2005, Patrice Chéreau gave him the lighting of Così fan tutte at the Aix-en-Provence Festival and the Opéra national de Paris. Will follow Tristan and Isolde at the Scala in Milan, From the House of the Dead at the Metropolitan Opera in New York and La Scala, La Nuit just before the forests of Bernard-Marie Koltès at the Théâtre de l'Atelier. He collaborates on the latest shows by Luc Bondy, Charlotte Solomon at the 2014 Salzburg Festival and Ivanov at the Théâtre de l'Odéon in 2015. He also accompanies Vincent Huguet for the Tales of the Moon at the Opéra Comique or Don Quichotte in Bordeaux as well the composer Jerome Combier for Austerlitz at the Festival of Aix-en-Provence and Campo Santo in Orleans and the 104 and conductors Raphael Pichon for The funeral of Louis XIV at the Opera of Versailles and Sebastien Daucé for Sacred Stories and The Night Concert. In 2015 and 2017, he works with Bartabas and Marc Minkowski for Davide penitente and Mozart's Requiem at the Rochester Armory in Salzburg.
More recently, he created the lights of Bouvard and Pécuchet at the Coursive de La Rochelle (directed by Jérôme Deschamps), Romeo and Juliet at the Comédie-Française (Éric Ruf), Pelléas and Mélisande at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées (Éric Ruf), La Vie Parisienne and La Périchole at the Bordeaux Opera House, From the House of the Dead at the Paris National Opera (Patrice Chéreau), Jean-Luc Lagarce's The Far Country at the National Theater of Strasbourg and L'Éveil of the Wedekind Spring at the Comédie-Française (Clément Hervieu-Léger), Didon and Aeneas at the Aix-en-Provence Festival (Vincent Huguet), Romeo and Juliet at the Lucerne Theater (Vincent Huguet), Anna Bolena at the Bordeaux Opera (Marie-Louise Bischofberger). He also works with Rachida Brakni, Philippe Calvario, Bruno Bayen, Marie-Louise Bischofberger, Jacques Rebotier, Karin Serres, Gilles Rico, Eric Genovese, etc.
