About

Aphrodite Patoulidou was born in Thessaloniki (Greece) in 1992. She pursues an international career as a member of Equilibrium Young Artists under the patronage of Barbara Hannigan and as an artist in productions of Sasha Waltz. Her roles include Anne Trulove ("the Rake's Progress"), La Voix humaine, Belinda ("Dido and Aeneas"), Rosina ("Il barbiere di Siviglia"), Sophie Scholl ("the White Rose"), Lucy ("The Telephone"), single parents ("Minibar") and goddess Aphrodite at the world premiere of Theodoros Abazis opera"IRA". She made her debut in Spain, Belgium, England, California, Sweden, and Greece.

In addition to performances in musical theatre, she was involved as a soloist in the concerts of Vivier's "Lonely Child", William Walton's "Façade", Kevin Houbens "The Lost Labyrinth" and the works of Rossini and Mozart. She performed in theatres and concert halls such as La Monnaie Brussels, the Teatro Real Madrid, in Gothenburg's Konserthuset, in Snape Maltings and in the Concertgebouw Bruges. She was also present at Festivals such as Ojai Festival, Aldeburgh Festival, Flanders Festival, Eleusis, Prespa and others. She also appeared as an actress in the French-language film "Retro" and in the Greek educational series "Greek Toys". In addition to her work as a singer, she is dedicated to composition, photography and writing.
Aphrodite Patoulidou studied at the University of Macedonia (Greece) and at the Royal Flemish Conservatory of Brussels. In addition, she also studied music theory, piano, classical guitar and traditional song. She is currently taught by Prof. Aris Argiris at the University of the Arts in Berlin. She was also a teacher.
