About

Italian mezzosoprano, one of the most promising singers on the operatic international panorama, she has peformed in some among the world’s most important international opera houses, including Salzburg Festival, Teatro alla Scala, Liceu de Barcelona, Teatro Real de Madrid, Teatro Colon de Buenos Aires, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Opéra de Montecarlo, Opéra de Lausanne, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, Teatro Regio di Torino, Arena di Verona working with such conductors as Bruno Campanella, Fabio Luisi, Riccardo Muti, Renato Palumbo and Hubert Soundant.

During the 2014/15 season she made her much awaited Teatro alla Scala debut performing as Emilia in Otello by Rossini. She also performed Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina) at Liceu de Barcelona, at New Israeli Opera di Tel Aviv under the baton Omer Meir Wellber and at Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, Norma (Adalgisa) at Liceu di Barcelona, at Staatstheater in Wiesbaden and in Valladolid, Cavalleria Rusticana (Lola) in Salzburg under the baton of Christian Thielemann and Hänsel und Gretel (Hänsel) at Teatro Regio di Torino.

She opened the 2015/16 season making her company debut with Opéra de Paris as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly, followed Norma (Adalgisa) in Padova, Ascanio in Benvenuto Cellini by Berlioz at Liceu de Barcelona and Maddalena in Rigoletto at Teatro alla Scala.

Among her future plans are Madama Butterfly (Suzuki), Falstaff (Meg) and Nabucco (Fenena) at Teatro alla Scala, La Cenerentola (title role) at New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina) in Bilbao and Montecarlo, Nabucco (Fenena) in Menorca, I Puritani at Teatro Real di Madrid, Così fan tutte (Dorabella) in Rouen, Rigoletto (Maddalena) at Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, Carmen (title role) at Bregenz Festspiele.

In September 2013 she made her US debut with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra singing Berlioz’ Les Nuits d’été followed by Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina) at Deutsche Oper in Berlin, at Opéra of Lausanne and at Caracalla Thermes (with Teatro dell’Opera di Roma), Così fan tutte (Dorabella) in Sassari, Nabucco (Fenena) at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Il mondo della Luna (Lisetta) at Opéra de Montecarlo, Carmen (title role) at Opéra de Limoges, Roméo et Juliette (Stéphano) at Arena di Verona, as well as her role debut as Adalgisa in Norma at Teatro Massimo di Palermo.

She has sang I due Figaro (Cherubino) at the Salzburger Festpiele, Ravenna Festival, Teatro Real of Madrid and Teatro Colon of Buenos Aires under the baton of Riccardo Muti; Romeo and Juliette (Stéphano) at the Teatro Carlo Felice of Genova directed by Fabio Luisi and the same role under the direction of Yves Abel; Dorina in Il marito disperato conducted by Cristophe Rousset at Teatro San Carlo di Napoli; Rosina in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome with Bruno Campanella. She also performed as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, theatres of Piacenza, Modena and Opéra de Lausanne (with Theodor Guschlbauer) and Fenena in Nabucco at Teatro Massimo di Palermo under the baton of Renato Palumbo.

She held symphonic concerts and recitals working with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Yves Abel, Asher Fish, Greame Jenkins, Marcello Rota, Yutaka Sado, Jaap Van Zweden and singers as Andrea Bocelli and Placido Domingo.

Graduated with honors in singing at the Conservatory of Brescia, she also holds a master degree, in Education Sciences. A winner of several international vocal competitons, including “TIM”, “Magda Olivero”, “Iris Adami Corradetti”, “Comunità Europea A. Belli” and “Riccardo Zandonai, she was finalist at “XLVII Francisco Viñas” and “Operalia 2009”.
