The US American Soprano ANDREA CARROLL graduated from the Houston Grand Opera Studio and has won numerous awards and scholarships.
In previous seasons, the young artist sang roles including Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande), Gilda (Rigoletto), Micaëla (Carmen), Leïla (Les pêcheurs de perles), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Despina (Così fan tutte), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Adele (Die Fledermaus) and Musetta (La Bohème). To date, performances have taken Andrea Carroll to such places as Washington National Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Opera Santa Barbara, Seattle Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Garsington Opera and the Glimmerglass Festival. During the season 2015/16 she became a member of the Ensemble of the Wiener Staatsoper and has since sung roles including Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Norina (Don Pasquale), Woglinde (Das Rheingold, Götterdämmerung), Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos), Taumännchen and Sandmännchen (Hänsel und Gretel), Giannetta (L’elisir d’amore), Page (Rigoletto) and Stimme des Waldvogels (Siegfried).
