He was born in Geneva. In 1992 he started to study scenography with Achim Feyer at Hochschule der Künste in Berlin.
Since 1996 he was an assistant set designers at the State Opera in Hamburg, at the Festival in Salzburg, an assistant at Burgtheater and in Berliner Ensemble. He collaborated for example with Karl-Ernst Herrmann, Paul Lerchbaumer and Achim Freyer. Since 2000 he created set design for director George Tabori’s productions (e.g. Lessing: The Jews, Beckett: Waiting for Godot, Tabori: Jubilee at Berliner Ensemble). He collaborated with a director Philip Tiedemannem at Akademie Theater in Vienna, at Burgtheater and at Berliner Ensemble. He worked also on several plays by classical authors such as Sophocles, Aeschylus, H. Ibsen, B. Brecht, Ö. von Horvath, S. Beckett, T. Bernhard, for Viennese Theater in der Josefstadt, Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf, Staatstheater in Mainz and Kassel etc. He collaborated with such directors as Enrico Lübbe, Jacqueline Kornmüller, Andrea Schwalbach and Patrick Schlösser, Peter Hailer, Volker Schmalöer. He also makes set design for opera productions (Mozart: Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Landestheater Linz; Rossini: L'italiana in Algeri, Theater Basel; Händel: Orlando, Staatstheater Kassel). In 1999 he was given a grant to Kainz‘s medal for the set design for Bernhard‘s play Claus Peymann kauft sich eine Hose und geht mit mir essen. In 2004 he was nominated for Nestroy-Theaterpreis for set design to Belbel‘s Die Zeit der Plancks and for a set designer of 2004 (a critics‘ inquiry NRW).
