The Spanish soprano was born in Barcelona in 1994. At the age of 13 she made her professional debut at the Gran Teatro del Liceu as Aninka in the children's opera "Brundibár" by Hans Krása.
A season later she sang the part of Juliet in "the Little Sweep" by Benjamin Britten. In the 2015/16 season, she took over the role of Belinda in "Dido and Aeneas", Norina in "Don Pasquale" at the Barcelona Opera Studio and the role of Chiara in the world premiere of "Il Conte di Marsico" by Giuseppe Balducci at the Teatre de Sarrià. She also sang at the Rossini festival in 2016, as well as Alice in Rossini's "Le Comte Ory", for which she received the Belcanto international award. In 2017 she sang the role of Countess in " Le Comte Ory "at the Teatro de Sarrià, Gretel in" Hansel And Gretel "at the Weikersheim Opera Academy and the soprano role in Carl Orff's" Carmina Burana " at the Palau de la Música Catalana. Serena Sáenz ' Talent was awarded in 2014 and 2015 with two scholarships from the Ferrer Salat Music Fondation. She has also won the international competition "Ferruccio Tagliavini" (Austria), the Concurs Mirabent i Magrans (Spain) and Les Symphonies d'automne (France). Since the beginning of the season 2018/19 she has been a member of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden as a scholarship holder of the Liz Mohn Kultur - und Musikstiftung (Liz Mohn Kultur-und Musikstiftung) and can be experienced here as Pamina, Waldvogel ("Siegfried") and Zerlina ("Don Giovanni").
