And it shows the causes of the hatred of strangers, the "mess", of all those who are different, defend themselves, or dream of a different, better world: great loneliness, fanned fears, vulnerability, frustration, and - last but not least - increasing Egoism.
The German lunch menu is a small, clairvoyant masterpiece whose tragic topicality is alarming. "Loud Nazis ..." come to light when you spoon out the soup that Bernhard is serving with his lunch menu. What begins idyllically leads to a rude awakening, enjoyable and terrifying at the same time.
