The new and powerful version of Spring Awakening, directed by Fernando Dente and produced by Club Media, has already positioned itself as one of the major theatrical events of the year. With a completely renewed staging, this Argentine production of the multi-award-winning musical moved audiences from its very first performance.

Over the years, this show has become a phenomenon driven by the passion of its followers, whose word of mouth fueled the return of a work that feels deeply necessary. With set design by Gonzalo Córdoba Estévez, lighting by Lucas Gabriel Gringas, and costumes by La Polilla, this production delivers a striking visual approach that amplifies the emotional rawness of the story.

The young cast, led by Octavio Murillo (Melchior), Trini Montiel (Wendla), and Tomás Wicz (Moritz), shines with vibrant and deeply moving performances. Completing the adolescent world are Paz Gutiérrez (Ilse), Joaquín Scotta (Hänschen), Valentina Pergolini (Anna), Mariel Percossi (Martha), Felipe Paissanidis (Georg), Lare (Otto), Marto Rodríguez (Ernst), and Sol Tobías Córdova (Thea). The adult roles are portrayed by Vanesa Butera and Iñaki Agustín, with Azul Mazzeo and Santiago Toledo contributing as swings.

With vocal direction by Eugenia Gil Rodríguez and choreography by Vanesa García Millán, this new staging confirms Fer Dente’s distinctive signature as a creator capable of offering a contemporary, courageous, and deeply human vision of musical theatre. More than 5,000 people took part in the open auditions for this project, which from its inception embraced a new generation eager to be heard.
