Overview

The musical "The Count of Monte Cristo" is adapted from the literary classic of the same name by the French writer Alexandre Dumas, telling a legendary story about love, betrayal and revenge.

Edmond Dantès, a young sailor, was framed and lost his beloved fiancée and his precious freedom overnight. By chance, Edmund learned the secret of the treasure of Monte Cristo in prison. After escaping from prison, he successfully entered the upper class with the treasure, and began to carefully plan his revenge plan...

The musical "The Count of Monte Cristo" retains the tortuous story and tense narrative atmosphere of the original work, and adds soul-stirring music arrangements and magnificent and changeable dance scenes. and other complicated scenes.

The Chinese version of this play is jointly produced by Beijing Performing Arts Group and Shanghai Cultural Square again, and produced by Beijing Opera and Dance Theater. The core creative team of the original version including Russian directors and choreographers and domestic artists are specially invited to complete the creation and reproduce this masterpiece. It will make its debut in Shanghai Cultural Square as a major drama at the end of 2022, and has aroused enthusiastic response. The return of "Earl" to the Cultural Square this time will once again conquer the stage with its unique Russian aesthetics and grand drama style.
