Overview

Thunderous applause and an exuberant party atmosphere prevailed at the start of the tour of "Wahnsinn!" on the first weekend in May 2022 in Hof. While the biggest Wolfgang Petry party of all time is currently emotionally heating up the audience in many German cities, the new 2023 tour is already going on sale.

Fans have been waiting for this for a long time: now it's finally on, the tour in honor of Wolfgang Petry, who celebrated his 70th anniversary last fall. 70 years - that's really crazy! With a completely new stage concept, the show focuses primarily on the music and original songs by Wolfgang Petry.

In the style of a real concert experience, “Wahnsinn! - The Show" takes on the legendary final concert of his acclaimed "Einfach Geil" tour from 1999 and will catapult the viewer back at the speed of light to his attitude towards life from 20 years ago: feel this energy again, hear all the hits again, Party like there's no tomorrow.

The best Wolfgang Petry party is coming back in 2023 - with a large band, dancers and soloists. The audience can look forward to lots of Wolfgang Petry hits and a breathtaking journey through time, which revives moving moments, entertaining stories and personal anecdotes from his unique career.

For two hours there will be great emotions, heart palpitations, pure joie de vivre, grandiose moments of happiness and great entertainment at the highest level - everything that is needed to experience an unforgettable concert evening of a special kind. A stage design specially tailored to the production ensures the best entertainment in a sophisticated interaction with an accentuated light show rich in special effects. A must for every Petry fan!

SAP Arena is a multi-purpose arena in Mannheim, Germany. It is primarily used for ice hockey and handball, and is the home arena of the Adler Mannheim ice hockey club and the Rhein-Neckar Löwen handball club. Inaugurated in 2005, the arena has a capacity of up to 15,000 people. More than a hundred concerts and convention events are hosted at the arena annually. The SAP Arena is one of the largest in Germany and one of the most high-tech in Europe. The arena is named after its sponsor SAP.

Concerts at the SAP Arena:
- Tina Turner performed at the arena on 19 and 20 February 2009 during her Tina!: 50th Anniversary Tour.
- Depeche Mode performed at the arena twice: On 7 November 2009 during their Tour of the Universe and on 4 February 2014 during their Delta Machine Tour, in front of a sold-out crowd of 11,280 people.
- Madonna played a show in front of a sold-out crowd of 10,883 people during her Rebel Heart Tour on 29 November 2015. Deep Purple performed a show on 11 February 2013 in front of nearly 10,000 people.
- Justin Timberlake played a sold-out show in front of 10,476 people during his Man Of The Woods Tour on 13 July 2018.
- Celine Dion will perform at the arena during her Courage World Tour on 27 February 2023.
