The Palais Thermal is a spa in Bad Wildbad in Germany. The construction for the spa building was finished in 1847 and opened under the name of Graf-Eberhard-Bad. The Pump Room hosts the events of the Rossini in Wildbad Festival.

Rossini in Wildbad 2023
The 34th Belcanto Opera Festival will take place from July 14th to 23rd, 2023. The internationally renowned opera festival in the wildly romantic Kurpark in the middle of the northern Black Forest: the Rossini Festival is known worldwide for its new discoveries in the bel canto opera repertoire.
Overview
The monumental opera places enormous demands on the soloists, choir and orchestra and can therefore only be played once. Get tickets in time!
The composer Giovanni Pacini was not only a personal friend of Rossini, but perhaps the most gifted of his collaborators. In recent years we have had several opportunities to admire his excellent contributions to Rossini's operas (Adina, Matilde di Shabran). Now, for the first time in modern times, at the Festival play one of Pacini's main works, which was composed for La Scala in Milan in 1828 and was a great success not only there. The legendary Giovanni David created the role of the Arab leader Agobar, who in reality is the son of the last Merovingian king and at the end ruefully professes his allegiance. Therefore a "triumph of faith" - so the subtitle.

Gli arabi nelle Gallie, ossia Il trionfo della fede (The Arabs in Gaul, or The triumph of Faith) is an opera in two acts composed by Giovanni Pacini to a libretto by Luigi Romanelli. The opera is in the opera seria genre with a libretto based on Prévot's 1822 novel Le Renégat. Gli Arabi nelle Gallie premiered on 8 March 1827 at La Scala in Milan. Between 1827 and the late 1830s it was performed throughout Italy as well as in Spain, France, and Austria. It was also the first of Pacini's operas to be performed in North America when a production was mounted in 1834 at New York's Italian Opera House.
