Polyphony of sounds for alpine pastures
Flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn. The wind quintet is equal in status to the string quartet and in its sound and repertoire it represents the most complete formation of wind instruments. This is borne out by the Italian musicians who have performed with other highly prestigious orchestras, including the Teatro della Scala Orchestra of Milan, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, the Orchestre National de France and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. The idea behind this venture that brings together Andrea Oliva, Francesco di Rosa, Calogero Palermo, Andrea Zucco and Guglielmo Pellarin is to recreate the full richness of orchestral timbres while leaving room for strong individual personalities. These exceptional musicians have won awards in various competitions, including ARD, Kobe, the Judenmusik Wettbewerb in Zurich and the Jeunesse Musicales in Bucharest.
