About
Isaac Galán was born in Zaragoza in 1981 and he started his singing career in the Music Professional Conservatory in his home town and later on continued in the Superior School of Music Reina Sofía under the direction of Teresa Berganza, Tom Krause and Manuel Cid. He also performed during a course the Opera studio in the Ópera Theatre in Zurich. In addition, he has been among the best and awarded in different international contests such as the “Francisco Viñas” or “Manuel Ausensi” in Barcelona, and won the Audience Award in the Lirical Ambassadors celebrated in Montreal , Canada.
He has been directed as leader singer by worldknown directors such Lorin Maazel, Riccardo Muti, Zubin Metha, Ivor Bolton, Alberto Zedda, Ottavio Dantone, Philippe Entremont, Sir Andrew Davis, Jesús López Cobos, Dennis Russell Davies, Plácido Domingo or Andrea Battistoni, among others.
During three courses he has been the lead singer in the Landestheater in Linz, where he has sung different roles such as Fígaro in “El barbero de Sevilla”, Conde in “ Las bodas de Figaro”, Lescaut in “Manon”, Orphee in “ Orphee” of Philippe Glass, Testo in” Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda” of Monteverdi, Papageno in “ La Flauta Mágica” or Malatesta in” Don Pasquale”.
In the last few years Isaac Galán is developing an important operistic activity in theatres as the “Teatro Real in Madrid”, the” Gran Teatro del Liceu” in Barcelona, the ”Ópera”in Oviedo, the “Teatro Colón” in Buenos Aires, the Pentecostés Festival in Salzburgo, the Festival in Ravenna, the” Ópera” in Montpellier, the “Palau de les Arts” in Valencia, the “Teatro de la Zarzuela”, the “ Teatro de la Maestranza” or the” Teatro Manuel Malta”, among others.
He has also participated in important productions under the scenic direction of Krzysztof Warlikowski, Laurent Pelly, Chritoph Marthaler, E. Sagi, Vicent Boussard, Francisco Negrín, GianCarlo del Mónaco, Damiano Michieletto and Olivier Tambosi.
As a Concert Singer he has rehearsed in places such as the Auditorium in Zaragoza, the National Auditorium in Madrid, the Baluarte Auditorium in Pamplona, the “ Teatro Monumental” in Madrid, the Auditorium in Lleieda, the “Citè des Congress” in Nantes and Angers or the Palma de Mallorca Auditorium. Furthermore, he has sung under important orchestras as the “Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire”, the “Orquesta Sinfónica” in Baleares, the “Orquesta Nacional” in Spain, the “Orquesta Sinfónica” in Navarra, the “Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid”, the “Grupo Enigma” of the Auditorium in Zaragoza, the “Orchestra Sinfónica” in Santo Domingo or the Orchestra of the University of Valencia, among others.
