Franz Schubert: Sonata No. 1 in D Major for violin and Piano Op. 137 n. 1, D. 384
Franz Schubert: Ständchen, D.957d
Johannes Brahms: Violin Sonata no. 3 in D minor, Op.108
Henryk Wieniawski: Polonaise brilliante No. 1 in D Major, Op. 4
Overview

In his Aspen debut, Giovanni Andrea Zanon is joined by Canadian pianist Tony Siqi Yun, whose compelling performance of Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto wowed the Aspen audience last summer.

Giovanni Andrea Zanon began playing the violin at age two and at four became the youngest violinist in Italian history to attend one of the country’s state conservatories. Upon the advice of Zubin Mehta, he moved to New York to study at the Manhattan School of Music where he graduated at 18 with a master’s degree from the Pinchas Zukerman Performance Program. In February 2022, he represented Italy in the Closing Ceremony of the 2022 Olympics Games in Beijing. The event was broadcast worldwide and reached more than a billion viewers.
