Synopsis

Because Liu Bei had occupied Jingzhou for a long time and refused to return it after repeated demands, Sun Quan made a plan with Zhou Yu, pretending that his sister Sun Shangxiang was betrothed to Liu Bei, and tricked her into crossing the river to keep the hostage in exchange for Jingzhou. Zhuge Liang saw through the plot and implemented it, asking Zhao Yun to protect Liu Bei and go with him, and first pay a visit to Zhou Yu's father-in-law, Taiwei Qiao Xuan. Qiao Xuan reported his story to his grandson Wu Guotai, who decided to have a blind date at Ganlu Temple. Qiao Xuan tried his best to bring Sun and Liu together to fight against Cao, and finally made the lie come true.

Seeing that the beauty trap failed, Zhou Yu restrained her with his voice and appearance. As expected, Liu Bei was not happy to return. Zhao Yun reused Zhuge Liang's plan and pretended to report Cao Cao's attack on Jingzhou. Liu Bei panicked and wanted to leave, so he told Yu Shangxiang. Shang Xiang pays homage to the queen of the country and absconds with her. Zhou Yu sent his generals to pursue him, but Shang Xiang repelled them. Then he led his troops to arrive in person. By then, Zhuge Liang had already used a boat to welcome Liu Bei out of danger. Zhou Yu was humiliated by Zhang Fei.

Guangzhou Opera House is a Chinese opera house in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, People's Republic of China. Designed by Zaha Hadid, it opened on the 9th of May in 2010.

In April 2002 an international architectural competition attracted Coop Himmelb(l)au, Rem Koolhaas and Zaha Hadid – each producing detailed designs. In November 2002, Zaha Hadid's "double pebble" was announced the winner and the groundbreaking ceremony was held early in 2005.

The theatre has become the biggest performing centre in southern China and is one of the three biggest theatres in the nation alongside Beijing's National Centre for the Performing Arts and Shanghai's Shanghai Grand Theatre. May 2010 saw American filmmaker Shahar Stroh direct the premiere production of the opera house: Puccini's opera Turandot which had in previous years been a controversial opera in China.

The structure was designed by Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid. It is conceived as two rocks washed away by the Pearl River. Its freestanding concrete auditorium set within an exposed granite and glass-clad steel frame took over five years to build, and was praised upon opening by architectural critic Jonathan Glancey in The Guardian, who called it "at once highly theatrical and insistently subtle."
