After two years of general renovation, the square will once again provide a welcoming ambiance for the Classic Open Air, which will present itself to its visitors on the steps of the decorative side of the Konzerthaus in July 2025.
The three monumental buildings of the German Cathedral, the French Cathedral, and the Konzerthaus beautifully frame the square in Berlin's Mitte district.
The Gendarmenmarkt's eventful history can be traced back to the 17th century. Each historical phase has left its architectural mark on the Gendarmenmarkt.
