Son of Enrico, he graduated from the Parma Conservatory of Music with Giovanni Bozzini and studied conducting there. Admitted to the Walter Stauffer Academy of Cremona, he had Salvatore Accardo and Franco Gulli as teachers. Francesco Tagliavini played in duo with the pianist Andrea Dembech, and obtained the judgment of excellence from the Academy of Imola. He has given concerts at the major Italian theaters (Regio of Turin, National of Milan, Grande of Brescia, Bibiena of Mantua, Filarmonico of Verona, Verdi of Padua, Comunale of Treviso, Social of Rovigo, Municipal of Piacenza, Regio of Parma, Farnese of Parma, Valleys of Reggio Emilia, Comunale of Modena, Arena del Sole of Bologna, Comunale of Ferrara, Novelli of Rimini, Verdi of Florence, Metastasio of Prato, Petrarca of Arezzo, Rinnovati of Siena, Pergolesi of Jesi, Experimental of Ancona, Olimpico di Roma, Politeama di Lecce) I also tend to hold evenings for some of the major national associations (Milan Concert Society, Gioventù Musicale d'Italia, Lanciano Festival, Ravello Festival, Camerata Musicale of Barese, Il Coretto di Bari and many others) and abroad (Germany, Bresile). Played with Salvatore Accardo's Italian Chamber Orchestra throughout Europe, China, Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, the United States and has been a member since the foundation of the Parma Soloists.
In 2001, the year of the Verdi celebrations, Francesco Tagliavini was nominated for a competition as the violin of the Centennial Orchestra. From 2001 to 2004 he collaborated as the violinist with the Emilia Romagna Symphony Orchestra Arturo Toscanini and in 2005 he was invited by the Dresden Staatskapelle. From January 2006 he collaborates with the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala of Milan, with the Filarmonica della Scala, with the Virtuosi della Scala and I Cameristi Scaligeri. He was invited by the Fondazione Arena di Verona to play the role of shoulder violin at the 2006 Festival. In 2005, in a duo with Bruno Canino, he performed and recorded the complete work for violin and piano by Ludwing van Beethoven and started a intense duo activity in Italian and European cities.
