About the Vaduz Classic

The "Vaduz Classic" festival was launched in 2017 with the aim of bringing classical music closer to a broad audience in the greater area of eastern Switzerland, the Lake Constance region, Vorarlberg, southern Germany and the Grisons without threshold fear.

"Vaduz Classic" sees itself as an open, interdisciplinary platform for classical music with concerts at various venues, museums and halls in the center of Vaduz, in a wide variety of instrumentations and constellations. The aim is to create places of encounter for young and old, which enable and promote playful access to classical music.

Rolando Villazón

The newly established festival, which is geared towards the long term thanks to a public-private partnership in the form of a foundation set up by the municipality of Vaduz and the initiators of the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra, got off to a successful start with the sold-out open-air concert by star soloist David Garrett with the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra on August 24, 2017. Since then, "Vaduz Classic" has been able to present numerous greats of classical music such as Denis Matsuev, the Mariinsky Orchestra St. Petersburg under Valery Gergiev, Cecilia Bartoli, Rolando Villazón, Lang Lang, Luka Šulic as well as various up-and-coming new talents.
