Corrado Alessandro Cappitta, baritone, born in Catania in 1974, at the age of thirteen, began studying the piano and at the age of nineteen that of opera. In 1997 he obtained his diploma in singing at the Conservatory of Torrefranca di Vibo Valentia and continued his studies with the masters De Salvo, Monti, Guelfi, Olivero, Johanssonn and Serra over the years. Awarded in several competitions including the Caruso Prize and the Leoncavallo International Competition, he began in 2000 a solo career that led him to perform in numerous performances in France, Switzerland, Iceland, Romania and Italy where he also sang live radio for Rai 3. Ha debuted in numerous works: Pagliacci, La Bohème, Straw Hat of Florence, Clotilde, Porgy and Bess, West Side Story, Isabeau, The Servant Mistress, L'Arlesiana, The Love of the Three Melarances, Lucia di Lammermoor, The Strength of destiny, La traviata, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, Tosca, Trovatore, Marriage of Figaro, La fille du regiment, Cavalleria rusticana and Aida. In the intense concert activity he also performed: Carmina Burana - Orff, Coronation Mass - Mozart, Stabat Mater - Haydn, Petite Messe - Rossini, the Oratory of Noël of Saint-Saëns and the Mass in La - Pergolesi. For Bongiovanni he recorded the sacred drama Marie - Magdeleine (Massenet), L 'Arlesiana (Cilea) and the sacred drama Cecilia (Refice). Since 2006 he has collaborated as a choir artist with the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, also covering some small solo roles in Alcina (Händel), The Rake’s Progress (Stravinskij), Morte a Venezia (Britten) and Peter Grimes (Britten).
