Overview

The appearance in the poster of any musical theater of the masterpiece of world classical choreography – the ballet "Swan Lake" by P.I. Tchaikovsky is always an event. The staging of this performance invariably testifies to the achievement of a new professional level by the ballet troupe and its acquisition of a new professional status.

The classical ballet troupe of the Belarusian State Musical Theater presents its version of the famous ballet to the audience. Unlike standard, four-act performances, a Musical Theater production consists of two acts and four paintings, two paintings in each act. The choreography of the second and fourth paintings – "lake-swan" – is based on the classical version of Petipa-Ivanov. The first and third pictures of the ballet are performed in the editorial office of the choreographer, the chief choreographer of the theater, the People's Artist of Belarus Ekaterina Fadeeva.

According to Ekaterina Fadeeva, the Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Veniamin Zakharov (as a teacher-tutor) and the Honored Artist of Russia Nina Dyachenko (as a director of Polish, Hungarian and Spanish dances) provided significant assistance in creating the performance. Some adjustment of the choreographic material is due to the capabilities of a young, still developing choreographic team.
