Overview

World-renowned crossover pianist MAKSIM comes to TAM!

MAKSIM arrives in Milan with an unmissable stop on his acclaimed Segmenti World Tour. In anticipation of his highly anticipated performance at the TAM Teatro Arcimboldi on May 3rd, the artist offers us a special preview with the release of the music video for "Prokofiev Fantasy," one of the standout tracks from his latest studio album, Segmenti.

Directed by Filip Koludrovic, the video highlights the emotional and visual power of the performance through refined direction and cinematic editing. The film fully reflects MAKSIM's artistry, combining breathtaking piano technique with a rare expressive intensity. The result is a vibrant preview of what audiences will experience live on the stage of the Teatro Arcimboldi.

“Prokofiev Fantasy” is conceived as a single, continuous composition that blends three of Sergei Prokofiev’s most iconic works: the brilliant Toccata, long a part of Maxim’s repertoire; the lyrical themes from Romeo and Juliet, arranged by John Lenehan; and the sweeping Coda from the Third Piano Concerto, one of the most technically complex passages ever written for the instrument.

"This piece is among the most difficult and technically complex I've ever recorded," says Maxim. "I've loved the Third Concerto since I was a child and have always dreamed of performing it. For the album, I decided to keep the Coda exactly as it was written—I didn't change a single note. It's almost impossible to play, yet incredibly fun and full of joy. I can't wait to perform it on stage and hear the audience's reaction!"
