Feng Yao and Zhao Wenyuan bring cello and piano together in a programme of Italian music, film themes and Chinese works.
Boccherini's sonata opens an itinerary that includes Morricone's cinema music, Fang Dongqing's Lin Chong and Monti's Csardas. After the interval, operatic melodies and songs lead towards The Butterfly Lovers, a cello version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Paganini's variations.
