Teatro Sperimentale (Pesaro, Italy)
Teatro Sperimentale
Inaugurated in 1965 inside the building that houses the Municipality, the Experimental Cinema Theater immediately attracted world attention as the site of the newly created International Exhibition of New Cinema in Pesaro.
Dedicated in the early eighties to the Pesaro poet Odoardo Giansanti, it currently has two rooms: one with 485 seats (345 in the stalls, 140 in the gallery) and the other smaller - named after Pierpaolo Pasolini in 2015 - with 75 seats for conferences, video and film projections.
During the year it usually hosts film screenings, theater and dance performances, concerts and conferences. The theater can be used by organizations, associations, schools and individuals who request it; methods of concession, use and rates are defined by the specific regulation.
