Teatro Alfredo Chiesa (Milan, Italy)
Teatro Alfredo Chiesa
What was once the Alfred Church, is now the Teatro Alfredo Chiesa. The theater not only stages amazing acts, but also takes classes to teach those who want to immerse themselves in the magic of theatre.
The Alfredo Chiesa Theater, annexed to the church of San Cristoforo, is dedicated to the memory of Alfredo Chiesa, creator and promoter of many cultural initiatives that in the seventies and eighties involved the parish. Aggregator of young people, Alfredo Chiesa has cultivated and transmitted the values of culture in all its forms, with a fine sensitivity for the Christian vision of man. Suddenly passed away in the early eighties, he left a deep mark on those who had the good fortune to know him. Over the years, the artistic programming of the theater has been entrusted to Mr. Nicola Sanità who, since the death of Alfredo Chiesa, follows all the theatrical seasons with love and self-denial, faithful to his inspiration.
The artistic programming has increasingly approached professional and amateur representations, hosting prestigious companies.
From 2004 until 2017 a stable collaboration was established with the artistic direction of the Teatro Rare Tracce Group, during which a theater school / laboratory directed by Danilo Ghezzi, founder of the same cultural association, was supported.
Since 2019, the Alfredo Chiesa Theater hosts the Teatro Bello project.
