Kuppelsaal Concert Hall – Concerts in Germany’s largest classical concert hall
Concert organizers will find perfect conditions for hosting their concert in the historic Kuppelsaal. Built in 1914, the historic concert hall with 3,570 seats is the largest classical concert hall in Germany. With a comprehensive renovation in 2016, the acoustics of the hall were also optimized. Elements were specifically installed that scatter sound, while others have a high level of sound absorption or capture low-frequency sound components. This means that all surfaces are acoustically effective and break the special acoustics in the circular hall. Ten small reflectors above the stage can be adjusted in height and inclination exactly to different needs according to the specifications of the acoustic planners and are part of a large, effective orchestra room.
In the area of the high parquet, the Kuppelsaal has a so-called perimeter loop. This circumferential, ring-shaped copper strip ensures that around 350 seats in the parquet and high parquet areas of the Kuppelsaal have perfect conditions for the hearing impaired. The perimeter loop enables people who use digital hearing aids or have cochlear implants to receive speech and music wirelessly and without interference.
